Just like Pantone, I am adopting a "Theme of the Year." Something that will guide the patterns and artwork I create as well as the stories/poetry and connection to place elements I share.
For 2024 I am adopting the theme of "Seasons." While this isn't terribly fancy, it has significant meaning to me. As I write this, I am seven months pregnant with my first child and the idea of "seasons of life" has been weighing on my heart deeply. A transition from maidenhood to motherhood. Something I am deeply excited for, and equally scared, nervous and unsure of.
So this year I will delve into the idea of seasons. Seasons of our life as well as seasons of our environment. It is my goal to create four pattern collections focused on our four seasons and within that each month dig into ideas and notions to live through those seasons gracefully. It may be writings I share, photography of place or simply an observation of the natural world.
So with out further ado... I give you KT Mountain Studio's Theme of the year: Seasons.
