connection to place

Connection to place has been one of the pillars of my business since the beginning. I truly believe if we are connected to somewhere that we will care more deeply about it and in turn do what we can to preserve and conserve it. This starts with observing the small shifts and changes of seasons, the migrations of birds or just how the light moves differently through a room one week to the next. A connection to place can also mean the harvesting of food for our family. Be it a backyard garden, a farm, fishing, hunting, or berry picking. I challenge you to slow down, to go for an afternoon walk to sit in your garden as the light fades, to hold a fresh egg in your palm. It is here in these moments that we are reminded of things greater then us, and also that each one of us can make a difference.
