conscious quality

We don't need more things. It's true, there is a surplus of stuff in the world as evident by the literal trash islands that circulate in our oceans. I've had many internal battles of not wanting to contribute to the waste, over production and consumerism nature of our society. And yet I also feel drawn to create something that is both beautiful, well crafted and concisely created. Ways that we are doing this:

  1. Made to order. I put into production unless the order has been placed. This inherently reduces waste. Yes, it increases production time (no amazon 2 day turn around) but it also means that the product you are holding was uniquely made for you!
  2. Fabric and material choice. The scarfs and bandanas are made from sustainable fabrics (read more in this post).
  3. Carbon footprint. By using Canada and U.S. based production partners as well as carbon offsets for shipping, we are consciously reducing our carbon footprint.
