Wintering

Wintering is a season.

A mindset.

A way of being.

Wintering is a reminder that we are meant to rest. That our lives are meant to go through seasons, both on a large scale (over multiple years) but also on a annual, monthly, weekly and daily schedule.

Wintering can simply be doing nothing, but it is also a time to go inward to reflect and to seek time to rejuvenate your soul. No matter where you live, the species that surround us go through a process of rest.  It may be torpor, hibernation or just a state of not growing. It is OK for you to do this as well.

It can't be expected for you to flourish through all seasons. We must build up stores of energy, recalibrate our strengths and bring awareness to our challenges. It is the prep before the surge.

Wintering for a human, an artist, a business owner are equally important as it is for the species that surround us.

This season is one of prep. Prep for the transition into motherhood, both physically and mentally. And prep for my business to transition into a sustainable practice.

Because wintering can be doing nothing but it is also the chance to be without the demands and pressure to accelerate, to preform, to outcompete. A chance for you to evaluate how you want to show up, how you want to move forward, how your dreams can be magnified.
