Colorado Columbine: 

The iconic flower of the Rocky Mountains. Found New Mexico to Montana in the foothills to subalpine. It's unique shape make it easy to identify for novice botanists and the tips of the sepals contain sugar reserves for eager pollinators. 

This piece is part of the Rocky Mountain National Park collection. I grew up spending all four seasons in the park. From snowshoeing into alpine lakes, exploring Ousel falls and it's American dipper, to summer and fall amongst the aspen and elk. The place of our childhood is often foundational to the people we become, especially wild places.

All pieces are shipped from my studio in a small mountain town. Please allow 2-3 days for orders to be packed and approximately 5 days for it to arrive, depending where you are.
